Born in the UK and raised in Perth, Kane started his career as an electrician, getting on the tools early and working his way through the trade industry. He went on to become general manager at one of Western Australia’s largest trade companies, where he saw firsthand what homeowners really wanted from their tradespeople: honest communication, reliable service, and work completed properly the first time.

Smartfix began in Kane’s garage with a simple idea: build a company customers and staff could genuinely rely on. As a qualified electrician and a family-focused Perth local, Kane has always believed in treating people properly, showing up when promised, and taking pride in quality workmanship.

Today, he continues to lead Smartfix with the same down-to-earth approach, now with a sharper focus on the electrical and air conditioning trades where his expertise, and his team’s, runs deepest.
